Bluegrass Goes Green: A Festival Within a Festival!
Saturday, July 31st, bluegrass will take the stage at the Great Peninsula Future Festival.
What could be more environmentally friendly and sustainable than good old fashion, foot-stomping, from-the-front-porch-acoustic music? Fiddles and banjos will fill the air as several groups bring the heritage of homegrown, American music to Kitsap County. The “Festival Within a Festival” will feature The Cascade Mountain Boys, a northwest staple in bluegrass music, local favorite Marilyn Kay & Company and many other great bands. Additionally, instrument workshops will be conducted by national flat-picking champion, Roger Ferguson and Bluegrass Hall of Famer, Terry Enyeart. Be sure and bring your instrument and pick along at the Jam Tent!
